DERBY VOTES FOR ASOS 93.25%

UCU Derby has just announced that there was overwhelming support for the branch to take industrial action in the face of the University’s plan for redundancies.

We received an unprecedented turnout of 66.4% in the ballot and the vote was won by a huge majority in favour of both questions of industrial action against the employer. 

This is a clear demonstration of how far staff confidence in management has fallen. The branch committee are now seeking further negotiations with management to try and stop the redundancies. The will also be a whole branch meeting to discuss the best way forwards. Please make every effort to attend:
